When I was growing up I spent a lot of my time outdoors. A kid living a stress free life. These days, like most, I find myself stuck inside in front of a screen. And therein lies the problem. Research has shown that our environment impacts our daily lives and routines. What you see, hear and experience can alter your mood, your perception, your health and wellbeing. And our mental health bears the brunt of this. It’s been proven that immersing oneself in nature has a positive impact on our wellbeing and the way we think and act. Humans are complex beings but we find the natural world interesting and somewhat impactful. By experiencing nature we can bring focus and clarity and also take some respite from the busy world (and overactive minds) around us. Mindscapes is a way to explore and tell a story of how Nature can inspire, heal and nurture. How we connect with its life-force, creating a metaphor of Nature Within. These pieces are my way of expanding on that narrative and as always, are ever evolving.
